Boca Juniors winger Cristian Pavon becomes 'top target' for Arsenal

Arsenal are reportedly planning to make an official approach for Boca Juniors winger Cristian Pavon.

Boca Juniors winger Cristian Pavon has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Arsenal.

With Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez both having just six months remaining on their contracts, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is in a position where he must look for replacements ahead of the summer.

According to The Independent, the North London outfit have scouted the player and Wenger sees the 21-year-old as an alternative to Sanchez.

Boca are said to be unwilling to sanction any move during January, but the South American giants are allegedly willing to consider any offers above £20m during the summer.

Pavon has spent the last three-and-a-half years with Boca, while he has also represented Argentina on two occasions.
