Leeds United are reportedly keeping tabs on Ajax defender Noussair Mazraoui, ahead of a proposed move in one of the upcoming transfer windows.
Marcelo Bielsa is keen to bolster his options in defence, with Luke Ayling – his only senior right-back at the club – requiring knee surgery, while centre-backs Diego Llorente and Robin Koch have also suffered with injuries this campaign, leaving the Whites light at the back.
According to Football Insider, Leeds have been alerted to Mazraoui's contract situation as the right-back will see his current deal at the Johan Cruyff Arena expire next summer.
The 23-year-old, who recently hired Mino Raiola as his new agent, is considering his options away from Ajax, as negotiations to extend his contract with the Dutch club have stalled.
Mazraoui has made 113 appearances across all competitions for the Eredivisie champions and has also earned 12 international caps for Morocco.
The defender, who has also been linked with Arsenal and Roma, has made a bright start to the new campaign at club level, scoring four goals and providing three assists in 11 appearances.
