Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal are reportedly handed a boost in their pursuit of Hakan Calhanoglu, who is looking increasingly likely to leave AC Milan on a free.

AC Milan playmaker Hakan Calhanoglu is reportedly edging closer to an exit from the club amid links with several Premier League sides.

The Turkey international is due to become a free agent at the end of June, despite Milan's best efforts to tie him down to a new deal throughout the 2020-21 season.

Calhanoglu affirmed last month that he was yet to reach a decision on his future, but he has reportedly been left unsatisfied with Milan's latest contract offer of €4m (£3.4m) per year at San Siro.

According to Milan News, the Rossoneri are not willing to increase their most recent offer of a new deal, and there is a growing expectation that Calhanoglu will leave the club on a free transfer this summer.

Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal could therefore be handed a major boost in their pursuits of the 27-year-old, with the Gunners now seeking alternatives to Emiliano Buendia, who has agreed to join Aston Villa.

Calhanoglu struck nine goals and assisted 12 more in 43 appearances across all competitions last season, and he is expected to be a key player for Turkey at Euro 2020.
