Manchester City are reportedly closing in on the signing of teenage winger Savio from Atletico Mineiro.
The 17-year-old – also known as Savinho – is believed to have caught the eye of a number of clubs in Europe, with City currently ahead of Arsenal, RB Leipzig and Red Bull Salzburg in the race for his signature.
A previous report from journalist Fabrizio Romano claimed that the Citizens had tabled a €6.5m (£5.5m) offer plus add-ons for Savio, with any potential deal also including a sell-on clause.
Romano has now provided an update on Twitter, stating that the Brazilian's permanent transfer to the Etihad Stadium is in the "final stages", with the winger expected to move to Manchester in the summer.
The Italian adds that a medical has already been booked in for Savio and the paperwork will soon be prepared before the deal can be announced.
Savio has already featured 23 times for Atletico Mineiro's senior team, including 12 appearances across all competitions for the Brasileiro champions in 2021.
