Real Madrid are reportedly still interested in signing Villarreal attacker Yeremi Pino.
The 19-year-old has again been in impressive form for the Yellow Submarine during the 2021-22 campaign, scoring seven times and contributing four assists in 33 appearances in all competitions.
Real Madrid were linked with the Spain international last summer, but he remained with Unai Emery's side and signed a new contract in November, with his new agreement running until June 2027.
According to Defensa Central, despite the new deal, which has raised his release clause to €80m (£66.6m), Los Blancos are still considering moving for him during this summer's transfer window.
The report claims that deals for Paris Saint-Germain's Kylian Mbappe and Borussia Dortmund's Erling Braut Haaland remain the priority for Carlo Ancelotti's side, but Pino is also being considered due to his impressive progression.
The teenager, who is capable of operating in a number of different formations in the final third of the field, has scored 14 goals and registered five assists in 70 appearances for Villarreal in all competitions.
Arsenal are also believed to be long-term admirers of the Spaniard, with Gunners head coach Mikel Arteta determined to bring him to North London.
