Sheffield United midfielder Sander Berge is reportedly a £22m target for Liverpool, despite his limited playing time in the Premier League this season.

Liverpool have joined Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign Sander Berge from Sheffield United, according to a report.

The Norway international joined United from Genk for a club-record £22m fee last summer and has made just 13 appearances for the Blades.

Berge has not featured at all since December due to a hamstring injury and may have already played his final game for United, who are heading back to the Championship.

Despite his limited playing time, Arsenal and Spurs were recently tipped to move for the 23-year-old, whose valuation is likely to remain around the £22m mark.

Eurosport suggests that Liverpool are also in the running to sign Berge, whom Jurgen Klopp sees as an ideal - and affordable - option to replace Georginio Wijnaldum.

Borussia Monchengladbach's Florian Neuhaus is another rumoured target for Liverpool, with the player having recently refused to rule out a move to Anfield.
