Report: Carlos Vela not going back to Arsenal

Carlos Vela is reportedly set to join Real Sociedad permanently after Arsenal sold their share to the Spanish side for £8.8m.

Carlos Vela has opted against going back to Arsenal, instead committing his future to Real Sociedad, according to a report.

The 25-year-old spent the last two seasons on loan at the Spanish side and it has been reported that Arsenal have agreed to sell their stake in the Mexican for £8.8m.

The report suggests that the Gunners could even get an extra £4m depending on the number of appearances he makes for the Primera Division club, according to The Times.

Vela scored 16 goals in 37 league games for Sociedad last term.
