Arsene Wenger coy on transfer targets

Arsene Wenger refuses to unveil his Arsenal transfer targets for the final week of the summer window.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has refused to reveal the names of players he is trying to sign in the final week of the summer transfer window.

The Gunners, who have only signed young French forward Yaya Sanogo so far, have been recently linked with Wayne Rooney and Luis Suarez.

The North London outfit are also supposedly interested in taking Real Madrid trio Karim Benzema, Mesut Ozil and Angel di Maria to the Emirates Stadium, but Wenger is reluctant to unveil his targets.

"I can't tell you that," Wenger told reporters.

"I will not give you any names because it would be unfair on the players who play at the clubs. It might create some wrong hopes."

Arsenal take on Fenerbahce in the return leg of their Champions League qualifier on Tuesday night.
