Report: Real Madrid to offload high-profile trio

Real Madrid reportedly hope to raise £100m from the sales of Mesut Ozil, Karim Benzema and Angel di Maria in order to fund the potential signing of Luis Suarez, as well as Gareth Bale.

Karim Benzema, Angel di Maria and Mesut Ozil could all be sold by Real Madrid before the close of the window in an attempt to fund the potential arrivals of Gareth Bale and Luis Suarez.

Tottenham Hotspur winger Bale is expected to join the La Liga giants in the coming days, with just the structure of the £86m payment apparently delaying the world-record transfer.

It is thought that Los Blancos will need to balance their books by recouping some of the cash parted with for the 24-year-old Welshman, and The Mirror reportss that Arsenal targets Benzema and Di Maria are available, although reluctant to leave the Santiago Bernabeu.

The Gunners have been linked with a double bid for the pair, but Madrid will only allow French striker Benzema to leave if they can replace him with Suarez, who has now indicated his willingness to stay at Liverpool despite originally demanding a move away earlier this summer.

Real are also prepared to cash in on German playmaker Ozil, who is attracting attention from Arsenal as well as Manchester United, in order to raise the £100m needed to finance the signings of two of the Premier League's biggest stars.

The same source reports that Madrid will submit a £42m offer for Suarez, a figure that is below Liverpool's valuation of the Uruguayan striker.
