Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger: "We are not scared to spend"

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger states that the club is not afraid to spend large sums of money on new players.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has insisted that the club has no concern over spending large sums of money on players.

The Gunners have been criticised in the past for a frugal approach to their transfer business, although they have twice broken their transfer record to bring Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez to the Emirates Stadium in the last two years.

"We are not scared to spend, I know I have that reputation. If the player has quality we spend money," Wenger told the club's AGM.

"I'm more motivated than ever, I'm more committed than ever."

Arsenal are currently second in the Premier League table.
