Queens Park Rangers have suffered their first defeat of pre-season with a 1-0 loss to Monaco in Italy.
The Championship side almost took the lead during the opening stages, but Sebastian Polter's effort from close range was straight at Danijel Subasic.
QPR were made to pay for that miss on 15 minutes as Ivan Cavaleiro slotted home to give Monaco the lead.
Monaco came close to doubling their advantage before half time, only for Joao Moutinho's 25-yard drive to be pushed away by Alex McCarthy.
The Ligue 1 team continued to look the more dangerous after the restart and they rattled the woodwork on the hour when Guido Carrillo's hooked shot from a corner came back off the crossbar.
Rangers brought on the likes of Charlie Austin, Alejandro Faurlin and Junior Hoilett during the final 20 minutes as they looked to get something out of the game, but they were unable to grab an equaliser.
