Joe Cole has revealed that he hopes to win trophies with Aston Villa following his free transfer from West Ham United.
The 32-year-old midfielder signed a two-year deal with the Villans on Tuesday after spending the past 18 months at Upton Park.
Despite suggestions that his best years are behind him due a long history of injury problems, Cole insists that he still has plenty to give.
"The fire is still burning in me. I want to do well. I want to play at the highest level and win things still and this club fits," he told Villa's official website.
"With the young squad we've got here, we've had two seasons consolidating and now we're going to want to push on, which I'm very excited about."
Cole scored 10 goals in 56 games for England before retiring from international football in 2010.
