Darren Bent is set for a return to the Aston Villa lineup this weekend after missing England's recent Euro 2012 qualifiers through injury.

The striker didn't feature in the wins over Bulgaria and Wales due to a groin problem, but Villa manager Alex McLeish is hopeful that Bent will be fit for Saturday's trip to Everton.

"Bent trained for the first time in 10 days so that gives us optimism for Saturday," said the Scot.

The 27-year-old has scored one goal in three games for the Midlands side this season.
