Aston Villa goalkeeper Brad Guzan has revealed that Tom Cleverley has immediately made a good impression at the club following his loan move from Manchester United.
Cleverley enjoyed a winning debut as he produced an impressive performance to help Villa to a 1-0 victory over Liverpool last Saturday, and Guzan is excited by what the 25-year-old brings to the squad.
"Tom is a really good guy. He's settled in really nicely. He's getting on with the guys great," the American told members of the media. "As a footballer, you can see the quality and the talent there.
"His feet are so good. He can pick a pass. He will score some goals for us. He goes box to box, gets up and down the pitch and works his socks off for the team."
It was confirmed on Wednesday that Villa manager Paul Lambert had signed a new contract with the club.
