Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish says that there is more to come from his side after their 2-2 draw with Sunderland.

Aston Villa manager Alex McLeish has said that he expects more to come from his players after their 2-2 draw at Sunderland.

Richard Dunne's goal looked to have earned the Midlands side the three points at the Stadium of Light, but Stephane Sessegnon's late goal ensured a share of the spoils.

"I'm pleased with the performance," McLeish told Sky Sports News. "There's a lot to take from that performance and I said to the players before the game, 'I think there's a lot more to come from you.'

"They've given me a lot of positive performances, a lot of quality at times but I think we can give more and we strive to do that."

The draw has left McLeish's side in ninth place in the Premier League table, while Sunderland occupy 14th.
