Philippe Senderos "didn't think twice" about joining Aston Villa

Philippe Senderos admits that he immediately wanted to join Aston Villa when the club got in contact in the summer.

Aston Villa defender Philippe Senderos has admitted that he "didn't think twice" about joining the Midlands club in the summer.

The 29-year-old returned to the Premier League following a stint at Valencia after calling an end to his four-year spell at Fulham.

"I have always loved England and I've always loved the Premier League," Senderos told the club's official website. "I think it's the best in the world.

"That's where every player wants to play. It was always a dream to come and play in the Premier League again and as soon as I had an opportunity like Villa to come back I didn't think twice."

Senderos is currently with the Switzerland squad ahead of tonight's Euro 2016 qualifier against England.
