Chris Ramsey: 'Tim Sherwood will keep Aston Villa up'

Queens Park Rangers boss Chris Ramsey says that Tim Sherwood will steer Aston Villa to Premier League safety this season.

Queens Park Rangers head coach Chris Ramsey believes that Tim Sherwood will keep Aston Villa in the Premier League.

The QPR boss goes up against his friend and former Tottenham Hotspur colleague at Villa Park tonight, knowing that the winner will take a big step towards safety this season.

Ramsey is confident that, regardless of this evening's result, Villa will be safe come May.

"Without a shadow of a doubt I think he will keep them up," the Birmingham Mail quotes Ramsey as saying.

"He has a good squad, players who have the wow factor and he knows how to manipulate those particular players.

"If I was a betting man, which we're not allowed to do, I would be putting a bet on him keeping them up."

Just three points separate QPR and Villa at the bottom of the table with seven games left to play.
