Turkey will be without the services of both Caglar Soyuncu and Enes Unal for this summer's European Championship, with the pair forced to withdraw from the preliminary squad.
National team manager Vincenzo Montella included both Soyuncu and Unal in his initial 35-man selection for Euro 2024, and the two players were set to feature at this summer's tournament.
However, Atletico Madrid's Soyuncu picked up a thigh injury while representing loan club Fenerbahce last Sunday, and he has since been removed from the squad.
The 28-year-old has been capped on 55 occasions by Turkey, scoring twice, and he will allegedly be missing for at least three weeks, forcing Turkey to drop him from the selection.
Montella's side suffered a further blow on Friday when it was revealed that Unal had suffered a fractured toe on his left foot, ruling him out of the European Championship.
Unal, 27, has only managed three goals in 33 caps for his country, but the striker made a positive impression for Bournemouth in the second half of last season after arriving from Getafe.
Turkey will begin their Euro 2024 campaign against Georgia on June 18, before facing Portugal and the Czech Republic in their final two matches in Group F.
However, the Crescent-Stars will first tackle Italy and Poland in two warm-up fixtures.
