Atletico Madrid are reportedly ready to rival Barcelona for the signature of Roma midfielder Alessandro Florenzi.
Florenzi came through the youth system at Roma, and has since made more than 200 appearances for the Italian club's first team.
The 26-year-old will see his current deal expire at the end of next season, however, and Barcelona have been credited with an interest in the versatile right-sided player.
According to Il Messaggero, Atletico are also in the hunt, with head coach Diego Simeone an admirer of the Italy international.
Florenzi, who has also previously been linked with a move to the Premier League, has scored once in 24 appearances for Roma during the 2017-18 campaign.
