Report: Valencia join Luciano Vietto hunt

A report claims that Valencia want to bring Atletico Madrid striker Luciano Vietto to the Mestalla in this summer's transfer window.

Valencia have reportedly joined the race to sign Atletico Madrid striker Luciano Vietto.

The Argentine earned himself a move to Atletico last summer after hitting 20 goals in 48 appearances during an impressive first season in Spanish football with Villarreal.

Vietto only managed three goals for the capital club during the 2015-16 season, however, and it is understood that Atletico would be open to a sale this summer.

Celta Vigo have been linked with a move for the striker, but according to AS, Valencia are also in the hunt as they seek fresh talent for the new season.

It is understood that Atletico would prefer to loan Vietto this summer rather than lose the 22-year-old on a permanent deal.
