Saul Niguez has signed a new long-term deal with La Liga side Atletico Madrid.
The 19-year-old, who is currently on loan at Rayo Vallecano, is widely regarded as one of the most talented midfielders in Spain.
His development had reportedly brought interest from the Premier League, but the teenager has ended speculation surrounding his future by penning fresh terms until 2018.
It is believed that Saul, who has been deployed at centre-back for Rayo in recent weeks, will link up with the Atletico squad next season.
