Half-Time Report: Goalless first half at Camp Nou

Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are level at the break after neither side scores in the first half at Camp Nou.

There were no goals in the opening 45 minutes of the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final between Barcelona and Atletico Madrid at Camp Nou.

Arda Turan tried to apply some early pressure for the visitors, but his delivery into the box was blocked by Gerard Pique, who was forced off less than quarter of an hour into the match with an injury.

Lionel Messi had an opportunity from a free kick inside the opening 10 minutes, but could only blast the ball into the wall.

Barcelona dominated the possession in the first 30 minutes, and came close to taking the lead when Andres Iniesta was set up by Messi, but the Spaniard was unable to get his shot away following a tackle from Diego Godin.

The hosts appealed for a penalty shortly before the break as Neymar went down under pressure from Godin, but the referee did not award the spot kick.
