Ivan Rakitic: Beating Juventus was "easy" for Barcelona

Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic reflects on their "easy" Champions League final win over Juventus.

Ivan Rakitic has revealed that he was surprised at the "easy" nature of Barcelona's 3-1 win over Juventus in last night's Champions League final.

The pre-match favourites enjoyed a fine start as Rakitic tapped home after four minutes in Berlin, before Alvaro Morata equalised shortly after the half-time break.

Luis Suarez reestablished Barca's lead on 68 minutes before Neymar completed the win late on, but the Catalans had looked vulnerable at times after Morata's leveller.

Asked by Sky Sports News whether the Bianconeri were the dominant team after equalising, the Croatia international said: "It's normal, it's a final - Juve were also playing in this game.

"But for the whole game we were the better team and we were in control. It was just a question of when we would score again. It was easy, it was clever, it was a good game."

The win meant that coach Luis Enrique had led the Blaugrana to a treble in his first season, having guided them to La Liga and Copa del Rey glory in recent weeks.
