Sunday's La Liga predictions including Barcelona vs. Mallorca

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's La Liga fixtures, including Barcelona vs. Mallorca.

Athletic Bilbao vs. Elche (Sunday, 6.00pm)

Athletic Bilbao will look to keep their European hopes alive when they welcome already-relegated Elche to San Mames on Sunday.

Elche may be cut adrift at the bottom of La Liga, but they head into the weekend off the back of an encouraging three-game unbeaten run.

We say: Athletic Bilbao 2-1 Elche

Elche would have taken confidence from their last three results, but we think that their unbeaten run will be brought to an end by Athletic, who have won their previous two matches against Sunday's opponents.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Atletico vs. Real Sociedad (Sunday, 6.00pm)

Real Sociedad will head to Atletico Madrid on Sunday evening knowing that a victory would see them qualify for the 2023-24 Champions League with a game to spare.

The visitors are currently fourth in the La Liga table, five points ahead of fifth-placed Villarreal, while Atletico occupy third, just one point behind second-placed Real Madrid.

We say: Atletico Madrid 1-1 Real Sociedad

Atletico are again expected to be missing a number of important players, but it is difficult to back them to lose at the moment, especially at home. Real Sociedad would be in a strong position to finish in the top four with a point on Sunday, and we are expecting the spoils to be shared here.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Barcelona vs. Mallorca (Sunday, 6.00pm)

La Liga champions Barcelona will be aiming to bounce back from successive defeats in Spain's top flight when they play their penultimate match of the 2022-23 campaign at home to Mallorca on Sunday night.

Barcelona won the title by beating Espanyol on May 14, but they have since lost their last two against Real Sociedad and Real Valladolid. Mallorca, meanwhile, currently sit 11th in the table, just three points behind seventh-placed Osasuna in the race for a European finish.

We say: Barcelona 2-1 Mallorca

Mallorca deserve a lot of respect for their 2022-23 campaign, and they certainly have enough talent to cause Barcelona issues on Sunday night. The hosts will be desperate to bounce back from successive losses, though, and we are expecting Xavi's side to emerge victorious in their last game of the season at Camp Nou.

Our tipster partners are predicting an away win.

Getafe vs. Osasuna (Sunday, 6.00pm)

Relegation-threatened Getafe will attempt to record consecutive victories when they welcome European-chasing Osasuna to the Coliseum Alfonso Perez on Sunday.

While the hosts are battling to retain their top-flight status, Osasuna are hoping to secure qualification to the Europa Conference League.

We say: Getafe 2-1 Osasuna

Although Osasuna have won their last two home games, their recent away form has been far less encouraging, having won just one of their last six away matches in La Liga.

Getafe, meanwhile, have won their previous two home meetings with Osasuna, and we think that they will make full use of the support at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez to clinch a narrow win on Sunday.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Cadiz vs. Celta Vigo (Sunday, 6.00pm)

Cadiz welcome Celta Vigo to the Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla for a crucial relegation six-pointer in La Liga on Sunday.

In a nail-biting relegation battle in Spain's top flight, just two points separate 13th to 18th with two games remaining.

We say: Cadiz 1-1 Celta Vigo

Celta do not win often on the road, especially at this venue, and Cadiz are tricky to beat on home soil, losing just three times here in 2023.

With a close encounter expected, both sides are set for a final day scrap to survive next weekend.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Rayo Vallecano vs. Villarreal (Sunday, 6.00pm)

Rayo Vallecano will welcome Villarreal to Estadio de Vallecas on Sunday in what could be Andoni Iraola's final game as manager of Los Franjirrojos.

The hosts are hoping to keep their fading European hopes alive, while Villarreal head into the final two games five points adrift of the Champions League places.

We say: Rayo Vallecano 1-3 Villarreal

Villarreal travel to Vallecas off the back of three consecutive victories, and we think they will continue their winning run against a Rayo side that have lost their last three games.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Almeria vs. Valladolid (Sunday, 6.00pm)

Real Valladolid travel to the South East to face Almeria in a crucial relegation six-pointer in La Liga this Sunday.

These two clubs are among six of the seven current relegation candidates playing against each other this weekend.

We say: Almeria 2-2 Real Valladolid

Goals could be in plentiful supply with two of the league's leakiest defences on show, as both are in a group of four teams to have conceded 60+ this season.

There is practically nothing to separate the sides on paper or in the standings, and a tense, close battle awaits.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Girona vs. Betis (Sunday, 6.00pm)

Real Betis will have the chance to qualify for next season's Europa League when they travel to the Estadi Municipal de Montilivi for Sunday's meeting with Girona.

The hosts, who occupy ninth position, are also in the hunt for European football with one point separating them from seventh place.

We say: Girona 1-1 Real Betis

Girona have won four of their last five home games, but we think that they will have to settle for a point when they face a team that they have never beaten in La Liga.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 2.5 goals.

Valencia vs. Espanyol (Sunday, 6.00pm)

Valencia will continue their battle to remain in La Liga when they play host to relegation rivals Espanyol on Sunday.

While the home side are two points clear of the danger zone, 19th-placed Espanyol are three points adrift of safety and could be relegated this weekend.

We say: Valencia 1-1 Espanyol

With three points separating them from safety, Espanyol will be desperate to claim an away victory, but with their last two games against Valencia ending all square, we think that Sunday's contest will produce another draw.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.
