Jordi Alba hails Luis Enrique

Barcelona defender Jordi Alba backs new manager Luis Enrique to lead the club to trophies.

Barcelona defender Jordi Alba believes that new manager Luis Enrique will help the club return to the top of European football once more.

The Catalan outfit failed to win a major trophy under Gerardo Martino last season, but Alba has said that Enrique's ideas 'suit the club's style of football'.

"The ideas of Luis Enrique are very good for our style of football, the team is already mentally set to adopt them. This friendly will help us move one step further in our bid to begin La Liga in the best possible form," he told reporters.

"Luis Enrique and his coaching staff can do great things. He's the right person at this time."

Barcelona face Napoli in a pre-season friendly this evening.
