Gerard Pique: 'I will see out my career at Barcelona'

Barcelona defender Gerard Pique reiterates that he has no desire to leave Barcelona at any point in the future, saying that he "will not play for another club".

Gerard Pique has committed his future to Barcelona by claiming that he intends to see out his career at Camp Nou.

The Spanish centre-back came through the youth ranks at Barca before joining Manchester United in 2004, although after spending four years in England he returned to his boyhood club.

Having played his part in the Catalan giants' 3-1 victory over Villarreal in the Copa del Rey on Wednesday night, heading in his fifth goal of the campaign to earn his side some breathing space, Pique revealed that he has no intention of leaving.

"I love this profession more and more each day and I'd like to keep on playing," he told Spanish radio station El Partido de las 12.

"I can safely say that I plan to retire here at Barca, whether that's at the end of this season or six years from now. I won't play for another club."

Pique has made 24 appearances for Barcelona this season in all competitions.
