Barcelona may reportedly ask Lionel Messi to speak with Argentine compatriot Lautaro Martinez over a potential move from Inter Milan to Camp Nou.

Inter Milan forward Lautaro Martinez will allegedly consider a move to Barcelona if asked by Lionel Messi.

With Barcelona considering potential replacements for Luis Suarez, Martinez has been heavily linked with a switch to Camp Nou at the end of the season.

The Argentina international has a release clause in his contract, and the Catalan giants are reportedly prepared to meet a figure of £92.5m.

According to AS, Martinez will agree to join the La Liga leaders should compatriot Messi speak with him over a transfer.

The report suggests that the 22-year-old "dreams" of playing alongside the Barcelona legend for both club and country.

However, it is claimed that the player's release clause is only active during a two-week period in July.
