A report claims that Barcelona will not overspend on Matthijs de Ligt and Adrien Rabiot in the summer, having already recruited Frenkie de Jong and Jean-Clair Todibo.

Barcelona chiefs are reportedly adamant that they will not lose their head and overspend in pursuit of Matthijs de Ligt and Adrien Rabiot.

The two players have been heavily touted as targets for the Spanish champions, who have already agreed a deal to bring in Frenkie de Jong ahead of next season.

De Ligt is believed to be valued at more than £70m by Ajax, while Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Rabiot will soon become a free agent and is able to negotiate the terms of his contract.

Spanish outlet Marca suggests that Barca are keen to snap up both men, but only if it makes economic sense.

With Jean-Clair Todibo also now on Barcelona's books, the report indicates that they will not bow to Ajax's demands when it comes to agreeing a fee, and the same is true in terms of discussions with Rabiot's representatives.

Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool will supposedly provide competition for Rabiot's signature, while Manchester City and Juventus are believed to be in for De Ligt.
