Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly prepared to ship out Mauro Icardi in an attempt to increase their chances of signing Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Parisiens' sporting director Leonardo has affirmed that his side are no closer to striking a deal for Barcelona talisman Messi, but with the Argentine's Blaugrana future still shrouded in uncertainty, a possible move to PSG remains a major talking point.
Meanwhile, Juventus chief Fabio Paratici has revealed that the club are yet to schedule talks over a new contract for Ronaldo, who is being tipped to leave after the Old Lady's crushing Champions League exit to Porto.
According to La Reppublica, PSG are still hopeful of pulling off a spectacular deal for either Ronaldo or Messi, but Icardi will be the unlucky one offloaded in order to raise the required funds.
The report claims that the former Inter Milan striker could return to Serie A as AC Milan and Juventus are both keen, with the former side already making contact with Icardi's agent and wife Wanda Nara through sporting director Paolo Maldini.
Icardi boasts five goals and four assists from 14 Ligue 1 appearances this term, and the 28-year-old is contracted to the French champions until the summer of 2024.
