Report: Jonathan dos Santos not in Luis Enrique's plans

A report claims that Barcelona boss Luis Enrique has informed Jonathan dos Santos that the midfielder is not part of his plans next season.

Barcelona boss Luis Enrique has reportedly informed Jonathan dos Santos that the midfielder is not part of his plans next season.

The Mexican made his Barca debut in 2009, but has struggled to gain a regular role in the first-team squad, with the 24-year-old making just 14 league appearances in five years.

Dos Santos has been strongly linked with a move to Real Sociedad, but it has been reported that the player has turned down a move to the Basque outfit.

According to Sport, Enrique has told Dos Santos that he is not part of his plans for the new campaign.

Dos Santos is the brother of Villarreal forward Giovani dos Santos.
