West Ham United are interested in signing Barcelona right-back Moussa Wague, according to a report.
The Hammers are believed to have been in the running to land the 21-year-old before he joined Nice on loan in January.
Wague made just five appearances for Nice, however, and the Ligue 1 side have decided against triggering the right-to-buy clause in his contract.
The Daily Star claims that West Ham are now weighing up a fresh approach for the Senegal international amid doubts over the future of Jeremy Ngakia.
Highly-rated United academy product Ngakia has appeared four times in the Premier League this season but is rumoured to have rejected a new deal, which could see him leave for free in the summer.
