Bayern Munich Breno defender was not seriously injured after a fire burnt down his house during the early hours of the morning.

Bayern Munich centre-back Breno was taken to hospital following a fire at his home during the early hours of this morning.

The 21-year-old was hospitalised with smoke inhalation, but upon his arrival it was found that the Brazilian had not suffered any substantial injuries.

"He was shocked, but he is well again. I am glad nothing more is going to happen to Breno," sporting director Christian Nerlinger told Bayern's official website.

The fire ignited shortly after midnight and burnt down the majority of Breno's house, according to Bild.
