Andreas Moller: 'Borussia Monchengladbach will be tough for Bayern Munich'

Former Germany player Andreas Moller anticipates a close match on Friday between Borussia Monchengladbach and Bayern Munich.

Former Germany international Andreas Moller has insisted that Bayern Munich must perform to their best if they are to beat Borussia Monchengladbach in the Bundesliga on Friday night.

Moller said that Gladbach's home form, eight wins from a possible nine, will make the match competitive between the likely champions and Champions League hopefuls.

"Two really strong teams are set to go head to head in Monchengladbach, and FC Bayern remain the top favourites to win the league," he told Bundesliga.com.

"Gladbach are strong again, though, and they're fighting for a place in the UEFA Champions League so it's going to be an interesting encounter and it's not going to be such an easy game for Bayern. Gladbach are strong at home and this is an intriguing game to get the second half of the season underway."

Bayern are currently top by seven points with a game in hand, while Gladbach are third.
