Bayern Munich ease past Hannover

Second-half goals from Mario Mandzukic and Franck Ribery earn Bayern Munich a win over Hannover.

A strong second-half performance from Bayern Munich has seen them beat Hannover 2-0 in the Bundesliga.

The first effort on goal came from Franck Ribery, who drove forward and shot on target but it was comfortable for Ron-Robert Zieler in the away goal.

A minute later Toni Kroos also shot from range, but his powerful effort went not far wide. Hannover's shots were all coming from way out, but Leon Andreasen and Leonardo Bittencourt could not find their range.

It was Hannover who came closest to breaking the deadlock mid-way through the half, but Artur Sobiech missed with a header from six yards out.

Arjen Robben then found the target shortly before the break, but his shot after cutting in did not have enough power.

However, Hannover's defence was not to hold out for a point. Not long after the restart Mario Mandzukic was played in by Kroos and he made no mistake with his finish.

The points were complete 25 minutes from time as Ribery got in again and this time found the bottom corner.
