Roque Santa Cruz hopes that Malaga can beat Real Betis and keep themselves on course for fourth place in La Liga.

Malaga's on-loan striker Roque Santa Cruz has urged his teammates to beat Real Betis on Sunday to keep them ahead in the race for fourth place.

Malaga beat Betis 4-0 in the reverse fixture in September and Santa Cruz has targeted a similar display at the weekend.

"That victory was nice, but the performance and the will to win are the most important things," AS quotes Santa Cruz as saying.

"It is important to pay attention to the league table throughout the season.

"Playing at Betis will be tough, but we must go for a victory that will allow us to consolidate fourth position in La Liga."

Betis are in contention for European qualification and currently sit eighth.
