Report: Hatem Ben Arfa rejects Birmingham City

A report claims that Newcastle United attacker Hatem Ben Arfa has rejected the chance to join Birmingham City.

Hatem Ben Arfa has reportedly rejected the chance to join Birmingham City.

The Frenchman is widely expected to leave Newcastle United on deadline day, with a number of clubs linked with a move for the talented attacker.

However, according to Sky Sports News, Birmingham have failed with a move for the 27-year-old, who is not prepared to drop into the Championship.

Ben Arfa is almost certain to depart the Magpies, but his destination is currently unclear.
