Brentford's newest signing Alan Judge backs former club Blackburn Rovers for promotion to the Premier League next season.

Brentford's newest signing Alan Judge has tipped former club Blackburn Rovers for promotion to the Premier League next season.

The 25-year-old Irishman left Rovers yesterday after just a year at the club to join the newly-promoted Bees, with whom he spent the second half of last season on loan in League One.

"I'm delighted the deal to Brentford has gone through and I'm looking forward to loads of good times here," Judge wrote on his Twitter page.

"I wish Rovers the best of luck and genuinely think they will get promoted next season."

Blackburn finished eighth in the second tier last season, missing out on the playoffs by just two points.
