Morten Gamst Pedersen reveals that he plans to honour his contract with Blackburn despite their relegation from the Premier League.

Morten Gamst Pedersen has announced his intention to remain at Blackburn Rovers despite their relegation from the Premier League.

The Lancashire outfit's drop into the Championship has resulted in reports linking their biggest names with moves away from the club.

One of those players is Pedersen, but the Norwegian has revealed that he plans to honour his two-year contract at Ewood Park.

"There have been some speculation and questions from the media about my future," he said.

"My response to that is that I have a contract with Blackburn Rovers and I intend to honour that."

Pedersen joined Rovers from native side Tromso in 2004.
