Blackburn Rovers 2-1 Barnsley

Nuno Gomes nets the winner as Blackburn come from behind to beat Barnsley and ensure they stay top of the Championship.

Blackburn Rovers have come from behind to ensure they stay top of the Championship this evening.

Early on it was Barnsley who took hold of the game and went close through Jacob Mellis, who capitalised on a Grant Hanley error before seeing Paul Robinson palm away his shot.

The on-loan Chelsea man was not to be denied, however, collecting a Chris Dagnall flick-on and lashing in soon after the half-hour mark.

High-flying Blackburn got back on level terms just before the break when new frontman Jordan Rhodes was found with his back to goal, then turned and hooked home.

The home side stole victory five minutes from time when Nuno Gomes found the net from a Fabio Nunes delivery.

Three points for Steve Kean's side sees them stay top, while Barnsley drop to 17th.
