Blackburn Rovers defender Martin Olsson says that he will not be leaving the club this winter.

Swedish left-back Martin Olsson has insisted that he has no intention of leaving Blackburn Rovers during the January transfer window.

The 24-year-old's agent recently claimed that his client's international future could come under threat if he continued playing in the Championship with Rovers.

However, Olsson has insisted that he loves playing for the club and has no plans to vacate Ewood Park next month.

"I am focused on Blackburn, that's it. Too much came out in the media before that I wanted to leave and I didn't want to play here," he told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph.

"I love the club, I have been here seven years and I only have positive things to say about the club. Right now I'm just focusing on Rovers, that's all."

Olsson joined Rovers in 2006 from Hosaborgs.
