Ian Holloway: 'We need to shake off Premier League hangover'

Ian Holloway believes that his Blackpool players are still suffering after being relegated from the Premier League.

Blackpool manager Ian Holloway believes that his squad are still suffering with the effects of being relegated from the Premier League.

The Tangerines' latest Championship fixture ended in a 1-1 draw away at Crystal Palace.

Statistics highlighted that Holloway's men dominated the encounter at Selhurst Park but the boss bemoaned his side's failure to find the winning goal.

"They've [Palace] won three out of four, we've come here and dominated possession but didn't take our chances. We then got nervous and they scored," Holloway told the club's official website.

"I think my team has still got a bit of a hangover from last year and we need to shake that off. We look like we get nervous, we don't do the right things the way we were doing them, and I want them to come through that because I think we look a good side.

"We've got to shake that monkey off our back and the defeat and failure."

Blackpool have taken eight points from a possible 15 so far this season.
