Ten-man Blackpool beat Bournemouth

Blackpool record a 2-1 victory over Bournemouth in the Championship this afternoon, despite going down to 10 men early in the second half.

Blackpool have recorded a 2-1 victory over Bournemouth at the Goldsands Stadium, despite playing with 10 men for much of the second half.

Paul Ince's men got off to the ideal start, as Ricardo Fuller rose highest to get on the end of a Jack Robinson throw-in to glance his header past goalkeeper Ryan Allsop.

The Cherries responded well to slipping behind and found an immediate riposte through in-form Lewis Grabban, who smashed home from close range to restore parity and net his fifth goal of the season.

Thomas Ince, who was afforded his first start since the opening day of the season, then came within the width of the woodwork to once again giving the Tangerines the lead following a superb solo run.

The visitors emerged from the interval as the stronger side and re-took the lead within three minutes of the second half. Ince floated a corner that was met by the head of Neal Bishop, who thumped past Allsop.

Ince's charges soon surrendered their advantage, though, as the Tangerines were reduced to 10 men after Robinson received a second yellow card.

The numerical disadvantage began to tell for the league leaders, as Eddie Howe's men monopolised possession and should have drawn level, with Wes Thomas spurning a good opportunity to equalise.

Manager Ince was the next to be dismissed by referee Olivier Langford, as the 45-year-old coach was sent to the stands after appearing to throw a bottle in frustration.

However, the high-flying Seasiders held on to remain at the summit of the Championship.
