Cardiff City confirm that Thomas Ince will not be joining the club, having decided to remain with Blackpool.

Cardiff City have confirmed that transfer target Thomas Ince has decided to remain with Blackpool.

The newly-promoted side had agreed a fee with the Seasiders to bring the midfielder to the Premier League, but were awaiting a final decision from the player.

A statement on the Bluebirds' official website states that the 21-year-old has opted to remain in Blackpool following the birth of his first child earlier this week.

Ince scored 18 goals for the Bloomfield Road side last season.
