Mika blunder gifts Pacos de Ferreira win at Boavista

Pacos de Ferreira climb to fourth in the Primeira Liga table after clinching a last-minute 1-0 win at Boavista on Monday night.

Pacos de Ferreira have climbed to fourth in the Primeira Liga table after clinching a last-minute 1-0 win at Boavista on Monday night.

The hosts were reduced to 10 men in the 53rd minute after Samuel Inkoom was shown a straight red card for a dangerous tackle.

Despite this setback, it looked like the points would be shared between both sides until, in the 88th minute, goalkeeper Mika spilled a ball into the path of Diogo Jota, who rifled home to steal the win.

The result sees Pacos de Ferreira edge to within a point of third-placed Benfica, while the visitors remain 14th in the Primeira Liga table.
