Guillaume Hoarau: 'Bordeaux too shy against Paris Saint-Germain'

Bordeaux striker Guillaume Hoarau says that his side were too shy during their 2-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in Ligue 1.

Bordeaux striker Guillaume Hoarau has said that his side were too shy during their 2-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in Ligue 1 on Friday evening.

The visitors didn't offer much in attack as they were beaten by goals from Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Alex after half time.

"I think we were a little shy in the first half. Paris Saint-Germain are very difficult to play against," Hoarau told reporters.

"We tried everything we could but when we think back on the first half I think we can have some small regrets.

"After that it is clear that if we do not get ahead and put them in danger, it is difficult to survive throughout the game. They were patient and we made a few mistakes and it is in those games where we learn a lot."

The defeat sees Bordeaux sitting in seventh position in the Ligue 1 table.
