Team News: Borussia Dortmund make three changes for Werder Bremen test

Jurgen Klopp makes three changes to his Borussia Dortmund side for their meeting with Bundesliga rivals Werder Bremen.

Jurgen Klopp has made three changes to his Borussia Dortmund side for their Bundesliga meeting with Werder Bremen.

The big news for Dortmund is that Sven Bender misses out with a muscle problem, meaning that Oliver Kirch returns to partner Sebastian Kehl in midfield.

There are also changes at the back as Matthias Ginter and Lukasz Piszczek come into the side which drew 2-2 with Wolfsburg in midweek.

However, Adrian Ramos, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Marco Reus and Neven Subotic are missing, as struggling Dortmund look to end 2014 with a positive result.

Basement club Werder Bremen, who can climb above Dortmund with victory, bring in Assami Lukimya to replace the suspended Luca Caldirola following his red card in the 4-1 loss to Borussia Monchengladbach.

Cedric Makiadi also loses his place in the Bremen side as Viktor Skrypnyk hands Melvyn Lorenzen just his second league appearance of the season.

Bremen: Wolf, Gebre Selassie, Lukimya, Gálvez, Garcia, Bargfrede, Fritz, Bartels, Junuzovic, Selke, Lorenzen

Dortmund: Langerak, Piszczek, Ginter, Hummels, Schmelzer, Kehl, Kirch, Aubameyang, Gundogan, Grosskreutz, Immobile
