Saturday's Championship predictions including Bournemouth vs. Derby County

Sports Mole provides score predictions for all of Saturday's Championship fixtures including Bournemouth vs. Derby County.

Bristol City vs. Norwich (Saturday, 12.30pm)

Two teams neck and neck in the Championship table meet on Saturday afternoon as Bristol City host Norwich City.

Both clubs have four wins, two draws and two defeats from their opening eight games and are only separated in the table on goal difference.

We say: Bristol City 1-2 Norwich City

Bristol City are going through a really tough patch at the moment, made worse by their injury crisis, but Norwich are unlikely to show them any sympathy. The Canaries have not blown any teams away this season but grind out results and should do so again at Ashton Gate.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Bournemouth vs. Derby (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Bournemouth will be hoping to continue their unbeaten start to the Championship season when they host Derby County on Saturday afternoon.

A 1-0 win over Bristol City on Wednesday lifted the Cherries to second in the Championship, six points behind leaders Reading.

We say: Bournemouth 2-0 Derby County

Rooney's return will help Derby but they will still find it hard to break down a well-organised Bournemouth side who have the attacking quality to punish teams. The pressure on Phillip Cocu will only continue to mount should his side lose on the South Coast.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Barnsley vs. Watford (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Valerien Ismael will be hoping to make it two wins from two as Barnsley manager when his side host Watford in the Championship on Saturday.

The Frenchman got off to the perfect start in the Oakwell dugout on Tuesday night, as the Tykes thrashed Queens Park Rangers 3-0.

We say: Barnsley 1-2 Watford

Vladimir Ivic will be looking for a reaction from his side after the draw against Wycombe, and Watford do have the players to really hurt Barnsley. The Tykes though have the famous 'new manager bounce' on their side and will be a tough nut to crack.

Our tipster partners are predicting an away win.

Luton vs. Brentford (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Luton Town play host to Brentford on Saturday afternoon holding a two-point advantage over last season's playoff runners-up in the Championship standings.

While the Hatters have recorded four points from their last two fixtures, Brentford make the trip to Kenilworth Road after two games without success.

We say: Luton Town 1-3 Brentford

Although Frank will be increasingly concerned about his side's lack of consistency, this may be the kind of game that the Bees require to get back on track. Luton should prove to be tough opponents, but it may lead to the visitors raising their level of performance.

Our tipster partners are predicting an away win.

Middlesbrough vs. Nott'm Forest (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Nottingham Forest travel to the North East to face Middlesbrough on Saturday as they look to continue their unbeaten run under Chris Hughton.

Middlesbrough got their second home win of the season at home to Coventry City in midweek, while Forest battled valiantly to claim a point away to Luton Town having played for 60 minutes with 10 men.

We say: Middlesbrough 2-1 Nottingham Forest

Warnock seems to be finding ways to transform draws into wins at present, and we see the Smoggies continuing their strong run against a Forest side that are yet to truly click under new management. This will be a closely contested matchup, but we expect Boro to come through with a narrow win.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Millwall vs. Huddersfield (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Millwall welcome Huddersfield Town to The Den on Saturday afternoon with the opportunity to strengthen their hold of a top-six spot in the Championship standings.

Meanwhile, the Terriers travel to East London on the back of two successive defeats, the latest one coming against low-scoring Birmingham City on Wednesday night.

We say: Millwall 2-0 Huddersfield Town

Based on their recent form, everything is pointing to a home win. Although we expect Huddersfield to make things competitive throughout the 90 minutes, they may struggle to break down an efficient Millwall side who look solid at both ends of the pitch.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Preston vs. Birmingham (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Preston North End will be hoping to bounce back from their 2-0 defeat against Millwall on Wednesday as they welcome Birmingham City to Deepdale.

Birmingham, however, will be in high spirits after their 2-1 win over Huddersfield, featuring a late winner by Lukas Jutkiewicz in what was their first victory since the opening day of the season.

We say: Preston North End 1-1 Birmingham City

Preston will be desperate to at least claim a point in this match following their horrific home form this season. However, with Birmingham fresh off their victory against Huddersfield, they may have what it takes to secure a draw on Saturday.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

QPR vs. Cardiff (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Queens Park Rangers are set to host Cardiff City on Saturday as they hope to bounce back from an embarrassing 3-0 defeat against Barnsley earlier this week, with Rob Dickie being sent off in the early moments of the game.

Meanwhile, Cardiff were able to secure a point in their 1-1 draw against Derby County on Wednesday, featuring an equaliser by Kieffer Moore in the latter stages of the match.

We say: Queens Park Rangers 0-1 Cardiff City

Despite Cardiff registering draws in their previous three games, this may finally be the time they pick up another win in the Championship. Although QPR will be desperate to put their Barnsley humiliation behind them, they have lacked goals in recent weeks, failing to score in their last four games.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Stoke vs. Rotherham (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Rotherham United will be looking to leapfrog Stoke City in the Championship table when they travel to the bet365 Stadium on Saturday.

The Millers got their second win of the season against Sheffield Wednesday in midweek, while the Potters lost to Swansea.

We say: Stoke City 0-0 Rotherham United

Buoyed by victory in midweek, Rotherham will travel to Staffordshire full of confidence and they could take a point against a Stoke side who cannot afford to put in another performance like they did against Swansea.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Swansea vs. Blackburn (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Swansea City welcome the division's top scorers on Saturday as Blackburn Rovers look to bounce back from defeat to league-leaders Reading.

The Swans completed a resounding win against Stoke City in midweek, which leaves them within one point of the top two.

We say: Swansea City 2-2 Blackburn Rovers

Any fixture that involves Blackburn Rovers tends to equal goals so far this season, and we expect to see more of the same. Rovers have been hit and miss away from home this season, but we see them getting a point at the Liberty, where Swansea have been equally inconsistent.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Wycombe vs. Sheff Weds (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Wycombe Wanderers boss Gareth Ainsworth pictured on September 7, 2019© Reuters

The bottom two sides will fight it out on Saturday as Sheffield Wednesday take on Wycombe Wanderers at Adams Park Stadium in what will be their first encounter between the Chairboys and Owls for eight years.

The Owls come into this one off the back of a 3-0 defeat away to Rotherham United, while Wycombe picked up a point at home to Watford.

We say: Wycombe Wanderers 1-1 Sheffield Wednesday

The winner of this matchup will likely be the team who are brave enough to chase the game and be positive from the outset. With that said, both teams are low on confidence, and with a lack of quality on show, we see this one ending in a draw - a result that will do neither team much good.

Our tipster partners are predicting an away win.
