Tommy Elphick dismisses talk of pressure on Bournemouth

Tommy Elphick insists that he is not concerned about pressure getting the better of Bournemouth over the next two games.

Bournemouth captain Tommy Elphick has urged his teammates to embrace the challenge of attempting to secure promotion over the next two games.

The Cherries currently occupy second spot, one point behind leaders Watford, and Elphick has dismissed suggestions that the players will allow the pressure to have a negative impact on performances in the final two matches.

"To be honest I think there is a little too much talk about pressure getting to people," the defender told reporters.

"The Championship is such a long, hard season. For me, pressure is being at the bottom and the chance of losing money and struggling to pay mortgages and stuff like that by getting relegated.

"This is something we should be embracing, relishing and trying to meet head-on."

Bournemouth host Bolton Wanderers on Monday before visiting Charlton Athletic on the final day of the season.
