Gary Lineker hails Bournemouth achievement

Gary Lineker praises the ascent of Bournemouth after they all but secure a place in the Premier League next season.

Match of the Day host Gary Lineker believes that Bournemouth will be a fine addition to the Premier League next season.

The Cherries all but secured their place in the top flight after beating Bolton Wanderers 3-0 on Monday evening.

Their ascent will be confirmed away at Charlton Athletic on Saturday, barring unlikely results and a huge swing in goal difference.

"Tell you who don't play boring football; Bournemouth. They'll be an excellent addition to the PL. Look forward to welcoming them on MOTD," former England striker Lineker wrote on Twitter.

"The achievements of Eddie Howe at Bournemouth make me wonder whether we've possibly found the English 'special one.'

"Congratulations to Bournemouth. Their first ever season in the Premier League and the oldest pitch invasion in football history."

Bournemouth have won three promotions in the last six seasons.
