Bradford City boss Phil Parkinson content with point

Bradford City boss Phil Parkinson praises his side's performance during their goalless draw with Rotherham United.

Bradford City manager Phil Parkinson has insisted that he was satisfied with his side's goalless draw with Rotherham United on Friday evening.

The Bantams boss was pleased with the way his side contained their promotion-chasing opponents to end a run of six straight defeats.

"That takes us to the 50-point marker," he told reporters. "We have come here before and put in non-appearances, so it was important for us that we put in a professional performance and we did that.

"Rotherham are a good side, but the lads were superb in the way they stuck to their game plan from the first minute to the last, and we created some good chances on the break in the second half.

"We knew that as the game wore on and Rotherham threw caution to the wind they would leave gaps, but on the day it is a very good point for us."

The result leaves Bradford in 12th place in League One.
